On Sunday the Twenty-eighth Day of January in the Year of our Lord Two Thousand and One, my Moke was miraculously transformed into a 'new' Moke! How about that then? Wonders upon Wonders eh! It happened on the way to the Colosseum. er... no, Sorry, on the way to work. Yes . . .there I was driving along quite contented with myself and the world in general when I noticed a strange, very quiet ticking sound . . . "Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick ".
It was coming from the dashboard and as I looked down, low and behold, 9999 99 jumped to 000000 and my Moke was born again! , , , Hallelujah! What else? I'm driving the Moke just about all the time these days cos, it's only 24 years old, still hellish reliable and very economical too to boot. I am writing this in December '05 and to date I've had my Moke on the road 6 years and during that time I have covered 53888 kms which equates to 5613 miles per year on average.
